Batong Lusong Elementary School (BLES), situated in Batong Lusong, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, is home to hardworking and motivated pupils, guided by a passionate faculty and staff. Together, they strive to achieve shared dreams and goals for a brighter future and lasting success.
As part of its commitment to giving back to the community, M Lhuillier granted a Learning Tambayan to Batong Lusong Elementary School. This facility serves as a space where pupils and school staff can engage in recreational and educational activities or rest and relax during their free hours.
The project was completed and officially turned over to the beneficiaries during a turnover ceremony attended by MLhuillier OPEC representatives, pupils, and school personnel. The pupils and faculty warmly expressed their gratitude to the guests. The program opened with a welcome message from Mr. Gorgonio Esguerra Jr., followed by messages from FPTA President Hon. Marie Agustin and Barangay Captain Hon. Christina Uranza.
In her message, Hon. Uranza emphasized that “BLES is very fortunate to receive such a meaningful project despite being located in a remote area, noting that M Lhuillier did not hesitate to provide a useful facility for the students.” Dr. Josie Palioc, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, also expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the effort and hard work of M Lhuillier OPEC.
For entertainment, selected learners of the school presented a katutubo dance as the intermission number. One of the highlights of the ceremony was the inspirational message delivered by Mr. Justiniano Reyes Jr., M Lhuillier OPEC Representative and Regional Manager. Following his heartfelt message to the learners and guests, M Lhuillier further demonstrated its humanitarian service by distributing giveaways to the pupils of Batong Lusong Elementary School, including bags, notebooks, pencil cases, towels, and ballpens for classroom use.
To express their appreciation for M Lhuillier’s generosity in providing a valuable facility, the school presented a Certificate of Appreciation. The event concluded with the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and closing remarks delivered by Faculty President Ms. Grace Na-ag.
Lastly, Mr. Jerald Ben, Administrative Staff of Batong Lusong Elementary School, led a learning session on solid waste management and earthquake drills. He emphasized that these learning components share common principles of preparedness, mitigation, and response. Through this discussion, learners and staff gained a better understanding of how to prepare for and respond to earthquakes, as well as how to manage waste effectively to help protect the environment.
