Adopt-a-School Program: Small Acts, Lasting Impact

“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.” This simple truth came alive through the meaningful initiative of MLhuillier OPEC Centrum Cebu as it reached out to support the local education community through its Adopt-a-School Program.

Led by Regional Manager Peter B. Aguirre, together with Area Managers and OPEC Centrum officers, the team visited a public high school to extend much-needed support to both students and educators. The activity focused on providing practical school essentials such as school signage, trash bins, and medicine kit boxes, items that may seem simple yet play an important role in maintaining a safe, organized, and healthy learning environment.

The school community, headed by School Head Lilia O. Novados and the dedicated teaching staff, warmly welcomed the initiative. The turnover ceremony became more than just a distribution of materials; it turned into a moment of connection, collaboration, and shared commitment toward uplifting education.

During the visit, the MLhuillier team also introduced the school community to its various services, including insurance offerings, HMO coverage, QCL, and other financial solutions designed to support families and communities. This exchange allowed teachers and staff to understand better how these services can contribute to everyday needs and long-term security.

Through programs like this, MLhuillier continues to demonstrate its dedication to social responsibility by giving back to the communities it serves.
