Kindness holds the power to change lives—and M Lhuillier continues to prove that even the smallest act of compassion can make a lasting impact, especially for those who cannot speak for themselves. This year, the OPEC Sugar Islands team proudly partnered with the Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) for Project SNAP—a nationwide campaign championing spaying, neutering, adoption, and responsible pet care. Together, they're creating a brighter, more humane future for animals across the country.
Hosted in Capas, Tarlac, the event brought together a strong coalition of passionate partners including the Capas Local Government Unit (LGU), the Municipal Veterinary Office, Vets Love Nature, PAHA, the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA), and Mayor Roseller Rodriguez. Their combined efforts made the event a resounding success.
M Lhuillier contributed essential medical supplies that played a vital role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the veterinary services provided throughout the event. But their support extended beyond donations—the OPEC Team, along with staff from the Tarpan Region, took an active role in setting up the venue, managing logistics, assisting with procedures, and caring for animals during their post-operative recovery. Their dedication reflected not only service but a genuine concern for animal welfare.
To deepen community engagement, M Lhuillier also hosted an interactive booth on-site. Here, residents were welcomed to explore the company’s financial services, activate MCash accounts, and learn more about ML Insurance. The booth became a hub of positive energy, with exciting giveaways and exclusive raffle prizes drawing in visitors and transforming outreach into real, heartwarming conversations—one smile, and one paw, at a time.
By the close of the event, 221 dogs and cats had been spayed or neutered, and more than 350 pets received free vaccinations. A pet care education session, led by AKF, empowered attendees with knowledge about responsible pet ownership and shed light on the ongoing fight against the illegal dog meat trade. Each animal treated symbolized a life transformed, and each interaction helped plant seeds of advocacy in the community.
