In Barangay Bagna, City of Malolos, Bulacan, a familiar childhood milestone became a moment of care, courage, and community. Through ML Operation Libreng Tuli, the officers of M Lhuillier OPEC Lakan came together to provide free and safe medical circumcision to young boys in the barangay. More than a health service, the initiative was designed to guide boys through an important rite of passage, one grounded in compassion, dignity, and support.
The activity was carefully carried out under the supervision of licensed doctors, midwives, and nurses, in partnership with the Barangay Health Office and Barangay Bagna Health Workers. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, from proper medical procedures to post-operative care. Parents and children were guided through an educational symposium on wound care and hygiene, while participants received prescribed medicines, snacks, ML Water, and simple yet meaningful giveaways such as M. Lhuillier backpacks and towels. The donation of an ML tent to the Pamahalaang Barangay of Bagna further strengthened the project’s community impact.
Primarily serving boys aged 9 to 15 from underserved families, the program emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare and proper hygiene. Beyond the procedure itself, the initiative aimed to protect children from possible future health concerns while easing the burden on parents. By working closely with local government units and community partners, the project became a shared effort, one that reflected trust, cooperation, and a genuine concern for the well-being of the youth.
With hearts full and a mission fulfilled, OPEC Lakan proudly declared, “Mission Accomplished.” The M Lhuillier Bulacan Region successfully served 43 brave young boys through the project Before It’s Tuli: ML Operation Libreng Tuli, From Small Boys to Big Men. Deep gratitude goes to Regional Manager Frederick Agron, the Area Managers of Bulacan Region, the Support Team, including Regional Insurance Coordinator April Virgilio, the Bulacan ABCs and RPC, the OPEC Lakan Officers, and the dedicated medical partners. Together, they lived out the promise of being the #TulayNgPaMLyangPilipino, helping build a healthier and more confident future for the next generation.
