M Lhuillier continues to deepen its commitment to environmental responsibility through its ongoing tree-planting initiatives across the Philippines. Most recently, the spotlight turned to Eden, Toril, Davao City, where the OPEC APO Duwaling team carried out another meaningful activity dedicated to sustainability and community engagement.
The event was made possible through the support of Sir Jing Marga, Nursery In-Charge from the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO). He provided participants with valuable insights on proper tree planting techniques, cedar seedling care, and effective waste management—ensuring that the team was well-prepared to make a lasting impact.
Following the orientation, the group set out on a 1.8-kilometer uphill hike to reach the designated planting area. Despite the physical challenge, morale remained high. The shared experience fostered stronger bonds among participants while deepening their connection to nature.
Once at the site, the team planted dozens of cedar saplings, each representing a step toward a more sustainable future. These trees serve not only as environmental contributions but also as living symbols of M Lhuillier’s enduring mission—to connect generations and communities by caring for the very environment that sustains them.
This initiative reflects M Lhuillier’s broader purpose as “Ang Tulay ng PaMLyang Pilipino.” Whether through its core financial services or community-driven efforts like this one, the company continues to play an active role in building a better, greener Philippines.
With every tree planted, M Lhuillier reinforces its dedication to being a responsible and forward-thinking member of the community. And as the journey toward sustainability moves forward, the company invites everyone to take part—proving that real change often begins with just one seed.
