M Lhuillier’s OPEC T’nalak recently took a meaningful step toward community upliftment by bringing its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to Little Baguio Elementary School in Barangay El Nonok, Banga, South Cotabato.
As part of its advocacy for health and education, OPEC T’nalak conducted a Basic Personal Hygiene Education and Training session for students. This activity aimed to raise awareness about daily hygiene practices, such as proper handwashing, personal cleanliness, and disease prevention—crucial lessons that support both the physical well-being and academic performance of young learners.
In response to the school’s urgent need for better sanitation facilities, the representative of M Lhuillier also formally turned over a newly built, gender-responsive comfort room and handwashing station. The structure was designed to provide students with a clean, safe, and private space, encouraging proper hygiene habits while also promoting dignity, especially for young girls.
Beyond infrastructure and training, OPEC T’nalak made sure every student went home with something to smile about. The team distributed school bags filled with notebooks, pens, and other essential supplies, and hygiene kits containing soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other personal care items.
To further empower the school staff, a brand-new desktop computer and printer were donated to assist teachers in preparing lessons and managing schoolwork more efficiently. This initiative reflects OPEC T’nalak’s continued commitment to creating a healthier, more inclusive, and learner-friendly environment in underserved communities. By addressing both the physical and educational needs of students and teachers, the program hopes to inspire long-term positive change.
