Dugong Bigay, Sagip Buhay: A Community Blood Letting Initiative

A meaningful bloodletting activity was successfully held at the Nagcarlan Evacuation Center, located behind the Municipal Hall in Nagcarlan. The event gathered local officials, partner organizations, employees, and generous community donors, all coming together with one goal: to help save lives through voluntary blood donation.

Representing the Local Government Unit of Nagcarlan was Rexon Arevalo, vice mayor of the municipality. During the activity, he expressed his appreciation for initiatives that promote community health and strengthen the spirit of bayanihan. His presence highlighted the strong support of the LGU for programs that encourage people to care for one another and contribute to the well-being of the community.

The activity was made possible with the help of dedicated volunteers from the Philippine Red Cross, who carefully managed the blood donation process and ensured that all safety protocols and medical procedures were properly followed. Their professionalism and commitment provided comfort and assurance to both first-time donors and regular participants.

Employees of M Lhuillier also took part in the activity, showing the organization’s continued dedication to corporate social responsibility and community service. Their participation, together with the generosity of donors from the Nagcarlan community, played an important role in making the program a success.
