Calauag, Quezon Province - The vibrant Alimango Festival, also known as the Katang Festival, once again filled the streets of Calauag with color, music, and the lively celebration of the town's abundant mud crab (alimango/katang) population. This year, M Lhuillier, a leading financial services provider in the Philippines, proudly led by the local OPEC MARIZON group to be part of this cherished annual event. This initiative underscored M Lhuillier's commitment to supporting and engaging with the rich cultural heritage of the communities it serves.

As the enthusiastic crowd gathered, the festival's iconic mascot, the towering "Higanting Alimango" (Giant Mud Crab), led a lively procession through the streets, accompanied by singing, dancing, and the infectious energy of the festivities. The Honorable Mayor of Calauag joined the M Lhuillier representatives in proudly promenading amidst the hundreds of tourists who had flocked to witness this acclaimed celebration. "It is a true honor and privilege to be acknowledged as part of this wonderful festival," remarked the  M Lhuillier contingent, who were humbled to be recognized as the "Tulay ng PaMLyang Pilipino" (Bridge of the Filipino People) for their active involvement.

The success of the event was made possible by the unwavering support of M Lhuillier OPEC officers who dedicated their time and efforts to make this year's Alimango Festival a resounding triumph. This vibrant celebration not only honors the town's natural bounty but also strengthens the community's bonds and showcases Calauag's rich cultural identity to the world.
