Padyak sa Pag-Angat Project: Moving Mobility and Commerce Forward
MAY 10, 2024
In a meaningful collaboration, M Lhuillier, led by OPEC Batangan, successfully handed over the 'Padyak sa Pag-Angat' project in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro on February 22, 2024. Recognizing the significance of livelihood assistance, 'Padyak sa Pag-Angat' aims to empower the local community by providing new opportunities for sustainable income generation.
In Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, tribikes or padyaks are commonly used as a mode of transportation. Many tribike drivers do not own the units; they simply operate under a boundary system. With the support of M Lhuillier’s dedicated team, four selected Roxasenos were generously donated tri-bikes with franchises. The primary objective of this project is to offer a stable source of income and create a fresh start that will greatly benefit the recipients and their families by providing for their daily needs.
The turnover ceremony took place in the presence of OPEC President Charity Baet, Regional Manager Ricardo Rioflorido, area managers, OPEC officers, and the Padyak beneficiaries—Mr. Alexander Devera, Joel Gaca, Apolonio Francisco, and Donato Merez. As part of the activity, a motorcade and flyering were conducted throughout the city of Roxas. The OPEC Batangan team distributed giveaways to the participants, witnessing the joy and happiness reflected on their faces.
This endeavor marks a significant achievement for OPEC Batangan as they continue to raise awareness about M Lhuillier's products and services. Through initiatives like 'Padyak sa Pag-Angat,' the public is made aware of the unwavering commitment of M Lhuillier as the "Tulay ng Pamilyang Pilipino" (Bridge of the Filipino Families).
