Pathway for Success: Empowering Students at San Nicolas Integrated High School

JUNE 20, 2024

On May 14, 2024, M Lhuillier, headed by OPEC Batangan, handed over the "Pathway for Success" project to San Nicolas Integrated High School in Barangay Calangay, Batangas. This educational initiative aimed to address the school's financial needs by building and roofing a pathway leading to the Senior High building, ensuring the safety and comfort of teachers, parents, and students. The main purpose of the "Pathway for Success" project was to provide a secure and weather-protected walkway for the school community. The covered pathway not only safeguarded the well-being of students, but also fostered a sense of community and inclusivity within the school.

The turnover ceremony was marked by a warm welcome from the school principal, Mr. John Agdan, and the attendance of the OPEC Batangan team, led by OPEC President Charity Baet, Area Managers, SPTA President Mrs. Lory Landicho, and Barangay Captain Hon. Alvin Mendoza. The official opening of the project was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

As part of the event, a short symposium on the Anti-Bullying campaign was conducted by Ms. Kristine Annie De Villa, engaging the selected students. This aspect of the project aimed to not only improve the physical infrastructure of the school, but also to address the crucial issue of bullying and its impact on student well-being.

By reducing the instances of bullying, the project sought to mitigate the risks of suicide and self-harm among the student population. The active participation of all students in the activities demonstrated their commitment to fostering a safer and more inclusive school environment.

The successful completion of the "Pathway for Success" project was a significant achievement for OPEC Batangan, as it allowed them to continue informing the public about M Lhuillier's products and services while solidifying their role as "Tulay ng PaMLyang Pilipino" (Bridge for the Filipino Family).

This effort of M Lhuillier has not only enhanced the physical infrastructure of San Nicolas Integrated High School but has also laid the foundation for a more empowered and engaged student community, where safety, well-being, and the fight against bullying are prioritized.
