Project Luntian

Project Luntian came to life as a meaningful step toward environmental sustainability, bringing together people who share a common goal of caring for nature. The tree planting activity was spearheaded by M Lhuillier and led by the OPEC La Lagoon officers, turning a simple initiative into a collective effort rooted in responsibility and hope. The activity was held in Barangay Burgos, Majayjay, Laguna, in partnership with the Office of the Vice Mayor, headed by Ariel Arganosa.

The event was made even more meaningful through the active participation of various local stakeholders. Joining the initiative were the Barangay Volunteer Workers of Majayjay, led by Ellen Garcia, as well as the local government of Barangay Burgos under the leadership of Genaro Villaraza. Their presence and support showed how shared leadership and cooperation can strengthen community-driven programs.

Throughout the activity, participants worked side by side, planting tree seedlings in designated areas around the barangay. Laughter, conversation, and a sense of purpose filled the air as representatives from the private sector, local government, and the community contributed their time and effort. The involvement of residents and officials alike highlighted a strong spirit of unity and a shared commitment to protecting the environment.

More than just a tree planting event, Project Luntian served as a reminder that lasting change begins with collective action. By working together, the private sector, local government units, and the community were able to create an impact that goes beyond the day’s activity. The initiative reinforced the importance of nurturing the environment today, ensuring a greener and more sustainable future for the generations to come.
