Protect the Coast, Act Together
Protect the Coast, Act Together

The shores of Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte, came alive with purpose as volunteers stepped onto the coastline armed with gloves, sacks, and a shared responsibility to protect the environment. With the sea as their backdrop, M Lhuillier Zamsibugay led a Coastal Clean-Up Drive and the turnover of trash bins, an initiative rooted in sustainable waste management and environmental care.
This effort was not carried out alone. Leaders and volunteers from M Lhuillier Zamsibugay, including the OPEC President, Regional and Area Managers, and OPEC Officers, joined hands with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sirawai. Together, they demonstrated how collaboration between the private sector and local government can turn environmental goals into meaningful action.
Along the shoreline, volunteers moved with intention—collecting litter, segregating waste, and restoring the coast piece by piece. Each bag filled was more than a task completed; it was a reminder of the responsibility shared by individuals and communities to reduce marine pollution, protect coastal ecosystems, and care for natural resources.
The initiative continued beyond the cleanup itself. M Lhuillier Zamsibugay formally turned over trash bins to the LGU of Sirawai, providing tools that will help strengthen the municipality’s solid waste management efforts. Placed along coastal areas, these bins serve as a clear call to action, encouraging residents and visitors alike to practice proper waste disposal and maintain a cleaner shoreline.
Through this program, M Lhuillier Zamsibugay reinforces its commitment to environmental stewardship and community partnership. More than a one-day activity, the effort sends a lasting message: protecting the environment requires collective action, consistency, and shared accountability. When communities work together, cleaner and healthier coastal spaces become not just a vision, but a reality.
