Demonstrating their enduring commitment to education and community development, M Lhuillier Financial Services Inc., through its ML Cares Foundation, with the Organizational Productivity Enhancement Committee (OPEC) La Lagoon, successfully turned over essential school supplies to 17 Day Care Centers in Lumban, Laguna on December 7, 2025.
The donation drive benefited more than 700 young learners, providing them with much-needed educational tools, including ML-branded notebooks and bags, printers, and a laminator, resources that will directly support both students and their teachers in creating a more engaging and effective learning environment.
The turnover ceremony was held in the presence of local leaders and community stakeholders. Hon. Mayor Belen Raga of Lumban, Laguna, personally received the donations and extended her gratitude to M. Lhuillier and its partners for consistently supporting the municipality’s educational thrusts.
“This donation is a big help to our teachers and learners. We thank M. Lhuillier for always being a reliable partner in uplifting the standard of education in our town,” said Mayor Belen.
The event also drew support from barangay officials, day care workers, and parents who expressed overwhelming gratitude and optimism. Many parents shared how the donation would alleviate the burden of school expenses and give their children a better chance at learning.
This strong show of community solidarity reflects the shared vision of stakeholders to prioritize education as a path to a better future. More than just a one-time donation, this initiative forms part of a sustainable education program that aims to empower day care centers in underserved communities. With reliable tools like printers and laminators now available, teachers can produce more visual and interactive learning materials that support holistic child development. Teachers also underwent a short orientation on how to maximize the use of these tools to enhance classroom delivery and learning outcomes.
