In a community where small acts of kindness can spark big changes, Barangay H2 in Dasmariñas, Cavite, became a shining example of hope and renewal. On that special day, the community witnessed the power of giving as M Lhuillier’s OPEC Kalayaan brought its heartfelt project to life. With free haircuts and slippers for in need residents, the initiative didn’t just offer practical assistance—it transformed lives by restoring confidence, dignity, and a sense of belonging.
The event, warmly welcomed by Barangay Captain John Renan Ilano Mendoza, showcased the power of community outreach. Skilled hairstylists Catherine Santos, Chynna Erestain, Reylen Matias, and Rolly Regalado gave beneficiaries professional haircuts that symbolized fresh starts and renewed hope. Beyond grooming, OPEC Kalayaan donated essential supplies such as a computer printer, filing tray, and bond paper to the barangay office, ensuring long-term benefits for the community.
A total of 64 residents received haircuts and slippers, along with thoughtful giveaways like backpacks, notebooks, face towels, ML Water, and dried mangoes. While waiting, they enjoyed snacks, turning the event into a joyful experience. Behind the scenes, Norberto Esternon ensured the event ran smoothly, while inspiring words from M Lhuillier officers, AM Arlyn Tizon, and OPEC Kalayaan President Ruel P. Lungcay reminded everyone of the importance of unity and giving back. Their efforts reflected M Lhuillier’s role as “Ang Tulay ng Pamilyang Pilipino,” bridging communities and offering hope.
This initiative was more than just free services—it was a celebration of compassion and community. For many, a simple haircut symbolized a fresh beginning, while new slippers marked a step toward a brighter future.
Through “Hakbang ng Pag-asa, Gupit ng Bagong Simula,” project OPEC Kalayaan showed that even small acts of kindness can create lasting change. The smiles and gratitude of the residents were proof of the event’s profound impact—a true reminder that hope can transform lives.
