Hope for the Entire Community by MLhuillier

Only a purpose driven life is a life well lived - caring for the community is one of the values that M Lhuillier inculcates among its employees. It does not only have positive effects on society, but it will bring benefits to one’s life and personal development. Diverse initiatives like clean-up drives, water tank provisions, placement of signages, construction of sheds, installation of motor pumps, donation of fish nets and continuous feeding programs were done by the different OPEC Chapters in several areas in the nation. In Damulog, Bukidnon, OPEC Kagay-an then conducted a turnover ceremony for the new terminal’s signage and trash bins. The local government unit sees this gesture as a way to promote tourism in the area through colorful signages and infrastructures that will surely catch the eyes of possible investors within the localities.

OPEC T’nalak also installed roadblocks in different areas in the SOCCSKSARGEN region. The road blocks are a big help to caution motorists on their speed and to prevent some accidents that may happen through the barriers and pedestrian lanes.

To ensure the barangay tanods could do their duty well, OPEC Aurum Gems conducted a program that will help Barangay Bañadero to improve their security system where nightsticks (batuta), tanod uniforms, and M Lhuillier freebies were distributed to the peacekeepers. M Lhuillier also turned over Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) uniforms to civilian police who are under the supervision of the PNP in the Municipality of Pulupandan, Negros Occidental. Another successful project was initiated by OPEC ONE where they turned over fourteen sets of flashlights, policeman cubs (batuta), caps, and shirts that can be used for the duty of local peacemakers at Barangay Mabolo, Valenzuela City.

Through OPEC Lakbai Norte, turnover of fish nets and pump boats to SIGAMA (Siocon Gagmay Mananagat) Organization at Barangay Siocon, Bogo City, Cebu was successfully conducted. The fisherfolk were really touched that they had been chosen as the beneficiaries as the pump boats and nets are the most vital tools in their means of livelihood.

1Christmas came early to Cavite as the ever benevolent OPEC Kalayaan gave packed meals to the indigent members of the community as a simple gesture of love and festivity. OPEC Kalayaan named the project "Drive and Drop a Meal" which happened where OPEC members drove along the roads of General Trias, Kawit, Bacoor, and Dasmarinas to look for people who might be in need of a warm meal to ease the exhaustion of their day. Together with the free meals, OPEC Kalayaan gave Noche Buena packages. The team felt that this feeding program was the best way to share the yuletide spirit to the community members with greater needs.

OPEC Green Valley continues to send hope as they held the Project T.A.S.K. Ko (Tutulong Ako Sa Kapwa Ko Project) at the Aeta Community in Brgy. Agugaddan, Peñablanca, Cagayan. A feeding program was conducted giving hot meals to the children of the Aeta Community. The team also gave gifts of Noche Buena packages as an early blowout for Christmas.

A community stage enriches the lives of those within the local government unit who actively participate in live stage productions and other socio-cultural activities.  These movements represent age, culture, life experience, and a strong importance for camaraderie. With this in mind, M Lhuillier, through OPEC Kalilintad Agus, inaugurated the Babalaya Community Stage in Bacolod, Lanao del Norte.

Evidently, M Lhuillier upholds their mission of being the Tulay ng PaMLyang Pilipino; not just with the long list of convenient services they provide but with the great amount of impact in the community. It is of selflessness that M Lhuillier seeks to do more for each and every Filipino. May more projects be done by M Lhuillier and may more Filipinos support and patronize the services of M Lhuillier.
