M Lhuillier's Promise of Hope to the Community
Giving back and serving the community has always been always a mission of M Lhuillier. It aims to provide assistance and help improve the lives of Filipino people wherever they are in the country, through upholding community projects.
One of the initiatives that the diligent M Lhuillier has carried out is the "Ilaw mo, Sagot" project led by OPEC Negros Jewellers, in which the team distributed thirty (30) solar lights to residents of Waling Waling, Municipality of Candoni, who were affected by Typhoon Odette last December 2021.
The generous hearts of the OPEC Sandugo members found their way to the Port of Tagbilaran City, Bohol, where they granted the porter laborers' long-standing request. They distributed sweatshirts and hard hats, which were received by the workers with a bright smile. Hard hats may be worn to protect against the accidental dropping or loss of material, tools, or other equipment, which could result in head injury. These simple gifts made them happy and, at the same time, less worried about their daily work on the sites.
Another dedicated team of M Lhuillier has held an exemplary involvement. OPEC Batangan served as an instrument for sanitation promotion and health care issues in Aeta’s tribe by constructing public toilets in their community, which is located at PutingKahoy, Rosario, Batangas. The team organized a short program and led activities such as action songs and dancing in which the children actively participated. The officers also distributed food packs for the young aetas as well as hygiene kits containing ML towels and ML t-shirts to eighty-five (85) families.
M Lhuillier is also up for fun. A request for painting materials in preparation for the basketball and volleyball leagues in Brgy. Bunga-Balayong, Nagcarlan Laguna, has been enthusiastically granted with the help of OPEC La Lagoon.
A ray of hope for Brgy. San Juan, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental. OPEC-Negros Jewellers turned over a livelihood package for the out-of-school youth. In this activity, the group donated four StreetKarts with complete utensils and startup ingredients like fish balls, tempura, squid balls, and kikiam. The beneficiaries are very thankful for what they've received and promise to take good care of them and use them properly.
M Lhuillier has never failed to respond to the wishes of the Filipinos. It’s always ready to serve and willing to contribute for the good of the community.
