On January 8, 2024, in honor of Señorito Michel Lhuillier's birthday, M Lhuillier’s OPEC Leyte Movers officers, led by Regional Manager Ma'am Grace L. de Gracia, conducted a relief operation in Maasin City for the victims of a devastating fire.
On December 23, 2023, just two days before Christmas, a fire broke out in Brgy. Tagnipa, Maasin City, Southern Leyte, leaving residents in distress. Mrs. Judith Rosolada, a witness to the incident, recounted the chaotic moments when the fire spread rapidly, causing one resident to lose his life while attempting to salvage belongings.
In response, the team officers distributed essential grocery items such as assorted canned goods, noodles, detergent powder, bath soap, and a sack of 5 kilos of rice to the 33 affected households. After the distribution, the officers visited the site and witnessed the extent of the damage, with numerous houses burned down. The residents and barangay officials expressed deep gratitude for the donations received, acknowledging the support provided by M Lhuillier OPEC Leyte Movers during this challenging time.
