Driving Change with M Lhuillier's Livelihood Project

MAY 21, 2024

Livelihood projects play a crucial role in the development and sustainability of local communities by providing opportunities for income generation. Recognizing this significance, M Lhuillier took a step forward by organizing a livelihood training program entitled "Empowering Women Through Meat Processing: Skinless Longganisa & Pork Tocino Making." The training was conducted on February 24, 2024, in Barangay 10, Bacolod City.

The driving force behind this activity was the M Lhuillier dedicated team, OPEC-Negros Jewellers team, in collaboration with TESDA- Talisay City Branch. The training was facilitated by a licensed instructor from TESDA. Participants had the opportunity to learn the fundamental techniques and methods involved in the production of skinless longganisa and pork tocino. Upon completion of the training, all participants were issued certificates, validating their successful completion of the program.

The training targeted members of the Women's Association of Barangay 10, a group composed of women who aspire to generate additional income to support their respective families. These women were eager to seize the opportunity provided by M Lhuillier, as it offered them a pathway to establish a livelihood business that could generate sustainable income to meet their day-to-day expenses.

The initiative was met with gratitude and appreciation from the participants. They expressed their heartfelt thanks to M Lhuillier for recognizing their aspirations and providing them with the means to pursue a livelihood that could enhance their financial well-being. The training program not only equipped the women with valuable skills but also instilled a sense of empowerment and self-reliance within them.

By empowering women through meat processing, M Lhuillier demonstrated its commitment to fostering economic growth and social progress in the community. The project not only enhances the participants' income-generating capabilities but also contributes to the overall development and stability of Barangay 10, Bacolod City.

Through initiatives like this, M Lhuillier continues to make a positive impact on local communities, recognizing the importance of empowering individuals, particularly women, in their pursuit of economic independence and a better quality of life. By providing training opportunities and support for livelihood ventures, M Lhuillier reaffirms its commitment to being a catalyst for change and progress, creating a brighter future for all.
