Lifting Lives Through Community Care: M Lhuillier's Impactful Inmate Outreach
AUGUST 22, 2024
M Lhuillier Financial Services is one of the leading financial institutions in the Philippines. Recognized for its excellence in financial services, M Lhuillier is much more than just a business – it is a champion of community empowerment and social responsibility.
Beyond providing premier financial solutions, the company actively engages in impactful community projects to improve the lives of Filipinos. One such initiative was the outreach program conducted for the Graduates of the Behavior Modification Program (BMP) at the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm.
The outreach program, spearheaded by the OPEC (ORGANIZATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY ENHANCEMENT COMMITTEE) team, was headed by CSINSP NONIE C FORRO ARS of Reformation, along with CO1 Emerald Rivera, the Chief - OIC of the Behavior Modification Program. Behavior modification is a psychotherapeutic intervention used to address maladaptive behaviors in individuals.
The Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) who had successfully completed the BMP were the recipients of the outreach program. OPEC Zamsulta Las Islas provided them with essential items, such as blue plain t-shirts, compartment plates, and bedsheets, to help them feel cared for and supported during their journey of rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
The program was driven by M Lhuillier’s unwavering commitment to empowering individuals and strengthening communities. As OPEC President Ranulfo Z. Tan Jr. expressed, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." This sentiment was echoed by the Regional Manager, Cirilo S. Bautista, and the Area Manager, Ramon P. Azuelo, as they lent their full support to the OPEC team in this meaningful endeavor.
Through initiatives like this outreach program, M Lhuillier Financial Services demonstrates its role as a socially responsible corporate citizen, dedicated to making a lasting positive impact on the lives of Filipinos. By uplifting and empowering the marginalized, the organization embodies the true essence of community-driven financial services.
