M Lhuillier successfully conducted the “Tuloy ang Kasaysayan: 2nd Inter-Students Philippine History Quiz Bee” through ML Cares on July 17, 2026, at Cavite Science Integrated School – Regional Science High School for Region IV-A in Garita B, Maragondon, Cavite. The academic competition brought together young learners in a meaningful celebration of Philippine history, encouraging them to strengthen their knowledge, critical thinking skills, and appreciation for the country’s rich heritage. The program formally opened with welcome remarks from School Principal Dr. Joie E. Buendia, followed by inspirational messages from Mr. Kristopher H. De Leon, Area Manager of M Lhuillier, and Mr. Ruel P. Lungcay, President of OPEC Kalayaan. Also present were Mr. Roberto S. Butas, Regional Manager of the Southern Luzon Region, and the officers of OPEC Kalayaan, who showed their support for the initiative.
A total of 15 Grade 7 students participated in the competition, putting their knowledge of Philippine history to the test through three challenging rounds: Easy, Average, and Difficult. After demonstrating impressive mastery, Janella Chloe V. Riel emerged as champion, while Audrey M. Gutirez secured second place and Hailey Heather D. Sol Cruz took third place. More than a competition, the quiz bee allowed students to learn more about the stories, people, and events that shaped the nation. Through activities like this, M Lhuillier through ML Cares continues to encourage young Filipinos to appreciate the importance of history and understand how it can help shape a stronger sense of identity and responsibility for the future.
M Lhuillier also made sure that every participant felt recognized for their effort and enthusiasm. Each contestant received M Lhuillier Accident Insurance benefit coverage, along with company giveaways such as an eco bag, notebook, dried fruits, cellphone case, and M Lhuillier long-sleeved shirt. The top three winners were additionally awarded M Lhuillier medals and cash prizes. The company also extended its support to the host school through the donation of an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and a scanner printer, providing useful resources for a more efficient learning environment. Snacks were likewise provided to the students and teachers throughout the activity.
As the event came to a close, Cavite Science Integrated School – Regional Science High School for Region IV-A presented M Lhuillier with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of its partnership and valuable contribution to the successful conduct of the quiz bee. More than celebrating the winners, “Tuloy ang Kasaysayan” reflects M Lhuillier's continuing effort to create meaningful opportunities that support education, youth development, and Filipino heritage. By bringing Philippine history closer to young learners, the company hopes to inspire the next generation to appreciate the lessons of the past, carry forward the values that define the Filipino spirit, and become champions of the nation’s story in their own way.
