M Lhuillier Plants Narra Trees for a Greener Bohol

A greener future begins with small actions, and sometimes, all it takes is planting a single tree. With a shared goal of protecting the environment, OPEC Sandugo – M Lhuillier Bohol Region organized a tree planting activity titled “Bring Back Our Trees” on September 11, 2026, at Sikatuna Tree Park in Barangay Can-agong Timberland, Sikatuna, Bohol.

Led by Regional Manager Ms. Socorro Teresa L. Hibaya and OPEC President Mr. Nolie C. Fudalan, together with the OPEC officers of the region, the activity focused on planting Narra tree seedlings to help restore green spaces and protect the area's natural surroundings. Beyond planting trees, the initiative also aimed to raise awareness about caring for the environment and encourage others to take part in protecting nature for future generations.

The activity was made possible with the support of Ms. Rhea Regine Ellorimo, Tourism Staff of the Municipality of Sikatuna, along with two staff members who will help monitor and care for the newly planted seedlings. Their assistance will help ensure that the young trees receive proper care as they grow. During the visit, the OPEC Sandugo officers also had the opportunity to meet Municipal Mayor Justiniana L. Ellorimo, RN, further strengthening their connection with the local community.

Through its ML Cares initiatives, M Lhuillier continues to show that giving back to communities also means taking care of the environment they call home. The “Bring Back Our Trees” activity serves as a simple reminder that even small efforts can make a lasting difference. With every Narra seedling planted, OPEC Sandugo hopes to inspire more people to care for nature and help build a greener, healthier Bohol for the next generation.
