February 26, 2025
In its unwavering commitment to education and community development, M Lhuillier has generously donated a makeshift classroom to Ismael Integrated School. This initiative is a testament to the company’s dedication to providing students with a safe and conducive learning environment, ensuring they have the resources necessary to thrive academically.
A turnover ceremony was held on January 30, 2025, at the school premises to formally hand over the new classroom. The event was attended by M Lhuillier representatives, including Area Managers Alkent Q. Asingua and Ivan Jones D. Rendal, OPEC President Herbert S. Garcia, OPEC officers, school officials, teachers, and community members. Mrs. Arlene M. Codera, one of the school’s teachers, and SPTA President Mr. Nur O. Amilin were also present to witness the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the completion of this meaningful project.
The newly constructed classroom addresses a critical need, especially for students who previously had to study in overcrowded or inadequate spaces. It will serve as an essential facility, allowing teachers to deliver lessons more effectively and students to learn in a more comfortable and productive environment.
During the event, OPEC President Mr. Herbert S. Garcia highlighted M Lhuillier's commitment to education. He stated that "investing in schools is an investment in the future of the community," reaffirming the company’s belief that quality education is a cornerstone for progress and opportunity. The school’s principal, Mr. Ekmar J. Sakib, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the donation, emphasizing how the additional classroom will have a lasting impact on both students and teachers.
This project is part of M Lhuillier’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which focus on uplifting communities through education, livelihood support, and social welfare programs. As a strong advocate for education, M Lhuillier continues to play a vital role in empowering communities and fostering growth by addressing critical needs in schools and other institutions.
The construction of the makeshift classroom is a powerful example of the impact that collaboration between private organizations and educational institutions can achieve. By working together, M Lhuillier and Ismael Integrated School have paved the way for improved learning conditions, opening doors to a brighter future for the students. This initiative not only underscores the company’s commitment to education but also inspires hope and progress in the communities it serves.
