M Lhuillier has initiated an important project aimed at helping communities prepare for disasters. Their slogan, "Iba Na Ang Laging Handa!" underscores the vital need for readiness in times of emergencies. This initiative was developed by students from Batangas State University, providing them with a valuable opportunity to enhance their skills in design and problem-solving while making a positive impact.  

At the heart of this project is an innovative table that transforms into an emergency boat, known as the "tabloat." This multifunctional tool is designed to assist during rescue operations in stormy conditions and also supports local employment opportunities. The project specifically targets the residents of Barangay San Rafael in Noveleta, Cavite, a community that often faces challenges related to rising water levels. 

The M Lhuillier’s OPEC Kalayaan team delivered three "tabloat" units to local families. The residents expressed their gratitude, emphasizing how this addition would be invaluable, especially when they need to evacuate due to flooding. The "tabloat" not only enhances their disaster preparedness but also aids in their livelihoods, particularly in fishing and salt production. 

In addition to the "tabloat" units, M Lhuillier’s OPEC team provided giveaways such as tote bags, backpacks, towels, and cellphone cases. They also distributed flyers containing essential information about disaster preparedness, further empowering the community with knowledge.

One resident, Jocelyn Concepcion, articulated her appreciation by saying, "Maraming salamat sa inyo, M Lhuillier! Napakalaking tulong nito sa kabuhayan namin." Her heartfelt words reflect how this project addresses immediate needs while also fostering long-term resilience within the community.

Through initiatives like this, M Lhuillier demonstrates its commitment to empowering communities to face future challenges with greater preparedness and strength.
