ML Cares Brings Cooler Classrooms to San Isidro School

Hot days can make it difficult for children to concentrate in class. At San Isidro Elementary School in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, eight new fans will help ease that discomfort, giving learners and teachers a cooler space for their daily lessons. On September 18, 2026, the M Lhuillier Bohol Region, through OPEC Sandugo and the ML Cares Foundation, turned over four ceiling fans and four wall fans to the school.

The assistance also addressed another part of school life: having supplies ready for each lesson. Learners received school bags, notebooks, ballpens, and pencil cases—everyday essentials they could use for taking notes, completing activities, and keeping their belongings together. Teachers and students welcomed the donations with gratitude, particularly the relief the fans would bring during warm classroom hours.

The people who keep the school running were also recognized. Seventeen teachers, three non-teaching staff members, and one security guard received ML Shop bags, towels, T-shirts, and ballpens as tokens of appreciation. Including them in the turnover acknowledged the different roles that support the children throughout each school day.

School Principal Mr. Eldiebrando S. Correa expressed his heartfelt thanks, emphasizing that the project would directly benefit the learners. The activity was led by Regional Manager Ms. Socorro Teresa L. Hibaya and OPEC Sandugo President Mr. Nolie C. Fudalan, together with officers from the M Lhuillier Bohol Region.

After the turnover, the value of the project would continue in ordinary classroom moments: a child settling down to write, a teacher guiding an activity, and students following a lesson with less discomfort from the heat. By responding to a practical school need, ML Cares helped make those daily experiences a little easier for the San Isidro Elementary School community.
