ML Cares Nutri-Art 2026 Inspires Young Minds in Cavite
October 7, 2026
A nutrition lesson can begin in the classroom and take on new meaning when children tell it in their own way. At Buhay Na Tubig Elementary School in Imus, Cavite, young learners used colors and words to express what healthy living meant to them. Their ideas became the heart of Nutri-Art 2026: A Slogan and Poster Making Contest, held by M Lhuillier and OPEC Kalayaan–Southern Luzon Region on September 29, 2026.
For two hours, 24 pupils in Grades 4 to 6 created entries that translated their understanding of proper nutrition into illustrations and messages. Twelve joined the poster-making contest, while another twelve participated in slogan-making. The activity encouraged them to think about everyday choices that support good health and how to share those lessons with others. It also recognized the teachers who help shape their learning, ahead of World Teachers’ Day.
The top three participants in each category received cash prizes, M Lhuillier medals, and company giveaways in recognition of their creativity and effort. Every contestant received giveaways and accident insurance with ₱150,000 in coverage, extending the care beyond their time in the competition. Welcomed by OIC-School Head Ms. Leah J. Guillang, the initiative was led by M Lhuillier Area Manager Rex Ordo and OPEC Kalayaan President Ruel P. Lungcay, whose partnership with the school made the activity possible.
M Lhuillier and OPEC Kalayaan also donated a printer to help the school with its everyday educational and administrative work. Alongside this practical support, Nutri-Art 2026 gave children something equally valuable: space to explore their talents and confidence to share their ideas. Through their posters and slogans, the learners became storytellers of healthy living, showing how a familiar classroom lesson can grow into a message of their own.
