Safe Spaces for Students: The Completion of Pasonanca's Waiting Shed Project

All the Way to Pasonanca, Zamboanga City – A Milestone Achieved! The turnover of the Waiting Shed Project at Pasonanca Elementary School recently took place, marking a significant milestone in the school's infrastructure development. This initiative, made possible through the dedication and generosity of M Lhuillier’s OPEC ZamBas Vinta team, reflects their unwavering commitment to supporting education and community welfare.
The waiting shed, successfully completed and turned over, provides students, parents, and guardians with a safe and comfortable space while waiting for transportation. Recognizing the growing demand for an expanded facility, Phase 2 of the project was initiated and has now been completed, further enhancing the convenience and safety of the school community.
During the turnover ceremony, representatives from M Lhuillier’s OPEC ZamBas Vinta, led by OPEC President S. Herbert Garcia, joined hands with OPEC Officers Cherry Ann P. Gandawali and Ex Officio Rene P. Armada, Lebert U. Dapat, RT’s Ma’am Norma F. Fuertes, Ma’am Ruby Ann S. Toca, Ma’am Kathy Lyn P. Mina, Regional Manager Sir Jeremias R. Supilanas Sr., the school teaching staff, and SPTA officers to celebrate this remarkable achievement. Gratitude was expressed for the continued support and partnership that has greatly benefited the students and the broader school community.
The new waiting shed features several key improvements, including additional seating, enhanced structural support, and upgraded roofing designed to provide better protection against harsh weather conditions. These upgrades ensure a safer, more comfortable space for students and parents, further emphasizing the stakeholders’ dedication to prioritizing student welfare.
The school administration extended its heartfelt appreciation to M Lhuillier and all involved in making this project a reality. They underscored the importance of public-private partnerships in improving educational facilities and fostering a more conducive learning environment.
