M Lhuillier Celebrates the Bounty of Calauag's Mud Crabs: The Alimango Festival

September 26, 2024

In the hearts of every learner at Pasil-Jelicuon Elementary School, the dream of having a dedicated space for knowledge and wisdom has finally come true. A new study nook and waiting area has been established right in the school’s front yard, providing a welcoming haven for students and their families.

This remarkable initiative was made possible through the generosity of the ML Cares Foundation, a company renowned not only for its excellence in the jewelry industry but also for its commitment to community service. Their collaboration with local stakeholders has created a lasting impact on the community.

On August 22, 2024, the ML Cares Foundation officially turned over the study nook and waiting area to Pasil-Jelicuon Elementary School, facilitated by the OPEC Dagyang Organization. The turn-over ceremony was led by OPEC President Ms. Ana Mee J. Catubay, and it was graced by notable guests, including New Lucena SB Member Atty. Carl Vincent Mondejar, District Supervisor Dr. Leone H. Guevarra, School Principal Dr. Maricor E. Sindingan, and MENRO Head Sunny M. De Vera.

Dr. Sindingan expressed her gratitude, stating, “This project is truly a significant blessing for the learners of PJES. It will inspire them to embrace the art of studying and provide comfort for parents while they wait for their children.” The realization of such a dream is a testament to the power of unity and collaboration within the community. It underscores the idea that meaningful change cannot be accomplished by individuals alone, but through collective effort.

The surprises didn’t end with the handover ceremony. Students were also delighted to receive illuminated signage, a computer set with a printer, and essential school supplies. Furthermore, the OPEC Dagyang Organization organized a tree-planting activity, engaging officials and teachers in a hands-on effort to beautify the school environment.

This new study nook is more than just a structure; it represents a commitment to fostering an enriching educational experience for the students of Pasil-Jelicuon Elementary School and the broader community.
